Get answers to common questions about Microcurrent .
Most clients feel a gentle tingling or subtle muscle flutter; the treatment is typically comfortable and non-invasive. It's safe for many skin types, but not recommended for clients with pacemakers, pregnancy, epilepsy, or certain implants — consult during your intake for guidance.
Visible improvements often appear after a series of treatments. We typically recommend a course of six to ten sessions, spaced weekly, followed by monthly maintenance to preserve tone, firmness, and lifted results.
Yes. Microcurrent pairs well with many facials, LED therapy, and hydrating treatments when timed appropriately. Your esthetician will design a blended plan, avoiding conflicts with recent chemical peels or invasive procedures to ensure safety and optimal results.
Add-on Microcurrent sessions at our spa generally range from 20 to 45 minutes, including consultation and targeted work. Full standalone treatments may last 45 to 60 minutes depending on goals and whether multiple areas are addressed in one visit.
Side effects are minimal and temporary. You may experience slight redness, mild tingling, or temporary muscle soreness that typically resolves within hours to a day. Follow aftercare, avoid heavy makeup immediately, and hydrate and protect skin with sunscreen.
Microcurrent is not appropriate for everyone. Contraindications include clients with pacemakers or implanted electronic devices, pregnancy, epilepsy, active cancer, recent facial surgery, or severe heart conditions. Always disclose medical history during your consultation so we can recommend safe alternatives.
